Articulate Instruments develops software in consultation with Speech pathologists and phoneticians for the purpose of Biofeedback, Research, Assessment and Diagnosis. Our speech pathology software is designed for ease of use in a clinical setting but is versatile enough to be used for research and education.
WinEPG works with two alternative software applications. Articulate Assistant comes with the WinEPG system as standard and allows easy visual feedback, recording, labelling, calculation of analysis values and exporting of data. The other software is called AAA and provides more powerful options for searching and analysing EPG as well as integrating all the multichannel instrumental data streams and providing analysis and export tools for each.

The software runs on Windows (XP or Windows 7 preferred) The software packages both have the following features in common:
• Records several minutes of speech depending on the acoustic sample
rate and the amount of RAM available on the PC
• Data labelling, annotation and query facility is designed to support phonetic research (AAA is more versitile for this purpose but Articulate Assistant is sufficient for many research studies).
• Modular configuration allows screens to be arranged the way you want
• Client-based software automatically manages the creation and storage of data files. (No need to name and save individual files)
• Text and picture or audio prompts can be added and displayed for the user.
• Library of typical palate patterns available as templates for clients to copy.
• Reward screen for encouraging paediatric clients
• Able to play back patterns and audio slowly with special processing that retains the original pitch of the speaker to keep the voice comrehensible
• Can export a wide range of EPG coefficients and timing information to a text file so that it can be imported into a statistical package for further analysis
• Movies which can include EPG,waveform, spectrogram and audio can be exported for inclusion in reports and presentations
